90% of women who work in the sex industry were sexually abused as children and 89% said they want to escape, but see no other way for survival. We actively engage women where they are at, demonstrating compassion and understanding to build relationships while also offering hope.
Jail and Detention Centers
Compass also provides mentoring for girls under 18 years old in the Juvenile Justice Center who identify as victims, or are at high-risk for becoming victims of sex trafficking. All mentoring relationships and programming focuses on building self-esteem, equipping girls with coping mechanisms and life skills, and helping victims understand their true identity and purpose through faith-based support.
Mentors meet with the girls in a group setting and individually to listen, provide support, and discuss life and faith. These mentoring relationships develop deep trust which can lead to long term healing and restoration for girls.

Compass is currently in process of raising funds to purchase a safe home in Northern Ohio. Our vision is to welcome women "home" to a calm setting which includes a 3,000 square foot home on more than 5 acres of land. This setting is in a secluded, undisclosed location, and provides a safe environment for victims.
The property also houses a barn and enough space to provide unique equestrian activities, yoga, art, and gardening therapies that the women will receive for as long as they reside on the property. For many of our residents this will be their first real "home" experience. These therapeutic activities are accompanied by faith-based holistic programs by partnering also with local organizations to offer truly restorative services. These services are designed for each individual woman and include cooking classes, exercise programs, and counseling, all designed heal trauma experienced. The Safe House provides healing, restoration and reintegration.
Compass is built on restoring relationship with God through Jesus Christ. This foundational Christian principle is essential in the lives of our staff and board in how we approach each other, and especially how we approach those we come in contact with who live life in turmoil with no hope.
*Participation in any religious activities are optional. Although Compass is equipped to provide faith - based support to the population we serve, participation is not required to receive any of our services.
